It is amazing to me how there are people in your life that no matter how much time is not spent together, whenever you do get the chance to meet up with them again, it is just like you never left. Case in point: freshman year I lived in Heritage Halls with some amazing girls. There were twelve of us that became quite close and Jaimie dubbed us the South Side Homies because we all managed to live on the south side of the building. We even made shirts declaring our unity... While we have all split off into our own smaller groups and gone our separate ways, whenever we get together, I remember how much I truly value these people. This semester we've decided that every two weeks, we all get together and go to dinner, go to ice cream, or play a good old fashioned game of Ligretto. Last night, we went to ice cream at our beloved creamery on 9th where we frequented freshman year and as I left, I realized how grateful I am for truly good people-- people who will still be good no matter how much time passes.

Yay! I'm so excited to read your blog! Aren't college roomies the best? I still keep in touch with some of my freshman roommates (from Heritage Halls) and that was a little longer ago for me than for you! You look great!!
