After indulging in sweets for Halloween after being off sugar for the month of October, Janelle and I re-signed our pact to be sugar free-- this time from now until Thanksgiving. Honestly, after going with out chocolates, ice cream (this one was the hardest), and other candies, I felt really sick after eating just a little bit of junk food. I suppose this is a good thing. Janelle is a food science major and last night, the regional confectioners association had a meeting up in Salt Lake at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. This meeting's topic was chocolate. Score! All the students in Ja's major were invited and they could bring a friend. Ja so kindly invited me and how could I refuse? Needless to say, my body is definitely in need of the 3 week detox of sugar after last night. But it was good. SO good. But as of today, here's to being sugar free!!!
Speaking of dietary experiments, Janelle and I are also going to try being vegan for a week as soon as we finish off the milk and eggs that are currently in our fridge. I'm already vegetarian, but hey, who needs animal products at all?! Well, I do, definitely, but this is the time in my life to try some new things. Wish us luck!

You're crazy! Crazy!
Though I must admit, I'm curious to see how it goes for you...
You are my hero! I'm sitting here reading this eating my chocolate mints and Reese's peanut butter cups thinking about the meat I'm going to cook for dinner. :)
Good luck with the no sugar! John said if I went without sugar for a year I could get a new car....well, I lasted 9 months and then blew it on some sour patch kids. I don't even like those, but I was pregnant so what can I say...! Anyway, if I can do it, you can! My body really did feel better when I did it. But I could never be vegan (or vegetarian for that matter)- good luck!
