I am chez Fo & Erik for Thanksgiving dinner in South Bend, IN. Sars is coming down from Madison, and when the Siebach schwestis plan a Thanksgiving dinner, it looks asomethin' like this:
  • Cider brined Turkey (17 pounder)
  • Garlic gravy
  • Sauteed peas with shallot and mint
  • Green beans with lemon and pine nuts
  • Glazed pearl onions in port w/ bay leaves
  • Pan-roasted pear salad with frisee, goat cheese, and almonds
  • Bread stuffing with leeks, bacon, and apple
  • Wild rice stuffing with wild mushrooms
  • Cranberry sauce with port and cinnamon
  • Garlic mashed potatoes
  • Scalloped yukon gold and sweet potato gratin w/fresh herbs
  • Roasted yams with citrus and coriander butter
  • Roasted winter vegetables w/ fennel
  • Some Israeli dish with bulgar & chickpeas
  • Cinnamon apple pie with raisins and crumb topping
  • Pumpkin spice layer cake w/caramel and cream cheese frosting
  • Shaker lemon pie
  • Sweet potato pie
our cup runneth o'er.
